No matter how deliriously weird, wonderfully asinine and repetitively repetitive they got, there are only two Elvis movies that I openly do not like. One, is Paradise, Hawaiian Style, which I found ponderous and kinda boring. And the second is this flick. I mean I dig the living hell out of the sheer stoopidity of Easy Come, Easy Go and Stay Away, Joe but find Follow that Dream nigh unwatchable. I’m at a loss. It stars the Big E, was directed by the same guy who did THEM! and written by same guy who scripted The Thing from Another World … Maybe it caught me on a bad day. Maybe I need to revisit it again. Maybe that’s me shrugging right now.  Dig those ads, though…

This post was part of Da’King Lives, which originated back in January of 2010, to help celebrate the King of Rock-n-Roll’s 75th birthday and throw a spotlight on his fine, fractured forays into feature film.
