This year’s theme is science-fiction, and we’ll be leaning hard toward the “mad science” portion of the genre. Hope you enjoy, and please click on the link above and donate to help restore the silent film, Cupid in Quarantine. The goal is to raise $10,000. Give what you can, won’t you? Thank you!

Well, 7-year old me still unabashedly loves this flick. 43 year old me still loves the hell out of it, but with each year that passes, I find myself longing harder and harder for a world where all the bullshit that followed, including Empire and Jedi never happened and Star Wars was just a one-off.

Please note the Personal Appearance in the fine print.
Yeah, due to some dire circumstances that really don’t need to be gotten into here, I didn’t get to see Star Wars — yes, Star Wars, save it, New Hopers — until the ’78 re-release at the old Hastings Drive-In. (Had the comics, had the trading cards, had the t-shirt, had the action-figures, but no movie.) So, in the spirit of Johnny-Come-Lately, I’ll present the second-run ads first. This latest batch also marks my 500th post. On the old site, after four years of posting, I didn’t even come close to that amount so I must be doing something right. Hope you’ve enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed digging them up and posting ’em, folks. Stay tuned. Lots more to come.

If being shot by cult-fave Ray Dennis Steckler isn’t enough to bring you to something like The Erotic Adventures of Pinocchio, where our artificial stud’s you-know-what grows instead of his nose when he gets randy, well, what if I told you Dyanne Thorne played his Fairy Godmother, whose spells usually backfire leaving her to run around in the buff. That’s right: it’s the She-Wolf of the SS by way of Walt Disney. Get thee to the adult video store! And while you’re there, you might as well check out Bill Osco’s Alice in Wonderland, his follow up to the equally demented Flesh Gordon, where cute-as-a-button Kristine DeBell plays Alice as a walking erectile-dysfunction cure-all. Trust me. You don’t wanna know what Humpty Dumpty broke. Now send in the dancing nurses! And if you listen real close, that sound you just heard was Carlo Collodi’s and Lewis Carroll’s graves detonating.
