Unlike Paramount, AVCO-Embassy couldn’t afford to saturate the country with thousands of prints like its rival studio did for Friday the 13th. (A film Paramount picked up only because it lost the bidding to our a featured feature to AVCO.) And so, Prom Night never really had a proper run at any theater in the Island except for popping up at the drive-in for limited weekend engagement like this one for the next two years or so.
