Don’t you just love the twisted artwork in these ads? First up we have the extremely twisted, and yet hauntingly beautiful tale of a mad surgeon whose necrophiliac sexual proclivities accidentally gets his wife killed. Not to fear, he has a plan to bring her back — and all he needs is a lot of blood from an unwilling donor. Enter wife number two … And then, Central Nebraska, welcome to the wacky world and demented genius of Jesus Franco, whose awful Dr. Orlof is also on a kidnapping binge for unwilling donors to provide skin-grafts for his disfigured daughter.

  1. Thanks for those great scans. What a double bill that was! Riccardo Freda and Jess Franco at their best. People must have been blown away when they saw this back in 1964.

    • Your welcome. For the longest time I fretted on how to share these treasures with folks, knowing scanning them would be impossible due to the bulk of the bound volumes. And then I finally had a brainstrom and took the scanner with me in the form of a digital camera. And the rest, as they say, is history. Thanks for commenting!
